Suddenly Turning Visible: Geometric-shaped Brooch

This Bauhaus-inspired brooch is part of the Suddenly Turning Visible exhibition merchandise series. The exhibition uncovers the links between art and architecture during one of Southeast Asia’s most transformative periods, exemplified by three art institutions—the Alpha Gallery in Singapore, the Bhirasri Institute of Modern Art in Bangkok, and the Cultural Centre of the Philippines in Manila.

The architecture of the three institutions were inspired by the Bauhaus movement, which included basic geometric shapes and the use of concrete.
